Who We Are & why Letters From Grandma

Letters from Grandma was born from love, loss, and a little bit of magic.

When our twin boys lost their grandma before their second birthday, we were left searching for a way to keep her spirit present in their lives. She was warmth, imagination, and gentle wisdom all wrapped into one, and we couldn’t bear for that to simply fade into memory. So we began creating something that would let her voice, her stories, and her magic live on.

What started as something deeply personal grew into Letters from Grandma, a way for children to feel connected, comforted, and inspired through thoughtful letters, activities, and moments of wonder.

We’re also lucky to have Susanne as one of our co-creators. With over 23 years of experience in primary school education, she brings a deep understanding of how children learn, play, and grow. Every activity is designed with care, balancing creativity, development, and just the right sprinkle of imagination.

At its heart, Letters from Grandma is about connection. It’s about storytelling, comfort, and creating memories that feel like a warm hug in an envelope.

Because even when someone is gone or faraway, their magic doesn’t have to be.

All our love,

Susanne, Barry, Albert & Buddy
